ACRT Services, Inc., is partnering with Satelytics, Inc., to bring artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial analytics to the utility industry throughout the U.S. ACRT Services and its subsidiaries provide vegetation-management services. Satelytics, founded in 2015, is a software company offering AI geospatial analytics to oil and gas, power, pipeline and water-wastewater industries. Data acquired from satellites and drones is used to alert, locate and quantify risk in the operator’s corridor and adjacent lands.
Satelytics addresses industry challenges such as vegetation speciation, height, health and density; work verification; land movement; encroachments; land-use classification; and changes in the corridor that might present risk. Results are delivered within hours of capturing the data, presented as text and email alerts.
“This tool will help us deliver value and certainty to our customers,” says Troy Ross, executive VP of operations at ACRT Services. Ross is leading the effort to integrate this tool into regular ACRT workflows.
“The experts at ACRT Services have already made an enormous contribution to our software and know how to best present it to the utility marketplace,” says Sean Donegan, president and CEO of Satelytics. “This unique approach will offer risk mitigation to our clients. Early warning of threats will provide much-needed time for action, with more options for a safe resolution.”
